Zahna porcelain stoneware is easy to clean with little effort and therefore keeps care costs down.

Zahna’s surface finish “Kerasiegel” prevents dirt and stains from penetrating the material. That makes Zahna-Fliesen a hygienic floor covering that is not sensitive to soiling.

To keep these durable properties, a few points should be observed:

Initial cleaning

Once dry, the floor covering must be cleaned of cement residues left from laying and grouting (“acid washing”). We recommend a commercially available cement haze remover.

Sweep the covering dry, then wet it thoroughly so the joints can soak. Apply the cement haze remover according to the manufacturer’s instructions. Give the cleaner enough time to take effect.

Then work the covering by hand with a scrubbing brush, or mechanically with a scrubbing machine. Rinse the treated floor thoroughly with clean water that is changed regularly.

The more carefully this work is done, the lower the future care effort will be.

Zahna-Fliesen do not need subsequent impregnation, because they are produced with the ceramic surface finish “Kerasiegel”.

Ongoing care

For regular maintenance cleaning, non-greasing detergents are recommended. Never use soft soap, floor wax or gloss-forming products. These products create layers on porcelain stoneware that show as streaks and on which dirt then builds up.

Wax-containing or similar care products can reduce slip resistance.

Do not use cleaners containing hydrofluoric acid, as they destroy the tile surface.
